STRUCTURAL DESIGN
We provide fully comprehensive packages of structural design calculations and drawings for local authority approval and construction.
From foundations to roof rafters, we provide design in all major structural materials and to all current, relevant UK codes and standards.
FEASIBILITY STUDIES
Before committing to a full design DTS1 can provide you with a basic assessment of the major engineering challenges and options that lie ahead on any project.
A feasibility study will highlight specific areas where more information is needed, or where the design may present alternative options to save time or money on the build.
ADVISING SERVICES
We have over twenty years' experience and expertise in both designing and advising on structures in high density areas or requiring work to boundary structures.
With particular experience in basement construction, we have qualifications, expertise of parties’ rights and responsibilities both at common law and under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. Combined, we strive to guarantee an advising engineer service that is always detailed, thorough and responsive.

ABOUT US
Matt Smith BA, BSc, MSc, CEng, MICE, MCIArb.
Matt is the founder and director of DTS1 and a chartered engineer. After studying architecture and engineering Matt began his career in London over twenty years ago. Since then he has gone on to gain a wealth of engineering experience across multiple sectors of the UK construction industry, from residential refurbishment to infrastructure upgrades.
